“The sorrow that has no vent in tears, may make other organs weep” - Dr Henry Mandsly, 1895
Unfelt feelings get stuck. In our spirit, psyche and soma. On a micro level, it creates discordance and at times sickness in mental, emotional and physical health.
On a macro level, unfelt feelings can be the start of violence, war, and much of the persecution and pain against a people or a collective.
"The silence that has no vent in tears, may make other organs weep"
With somatic work, we finally can allow the feelings to move through the system, to restore naturalness and health so that our insides don't have to be compromised due to the depression and suppression of our real feelings.
All our feelings just want to be felt, fully and wholly
What we resist, persists
But what we allow, flows.
