In life, there are seasons of questions, and seasons of answers. Moments of questions, and moments of answers. There are years of questions and years of answers, and days of questions and days of answers.

Because of the holographic, mirroring nature of life, if we really look, everything reflects everything else. Life, our emotions, and relationships are so much like nature, our breath, the seasons. Everything expands and contracts, is dark and light, shines and goes dim. Discomfort, contraction, darkness – these are parts of our human experience. You don’t need to be “healed” from your humanity, feelings, or the unknown. It’s a beautiful part of our experience here.

Healing can be an inherently shaming activity if we aren’t aware. Riding the waves of expansion and wondering why we are “back” in the discomfort, contraction, unknown. Do you ever feel this way? We can’t heal from being human. We can’t heal ourselves from being parts of nature. We can’t heal ourselves from the expansion and contraction that is life.

Healing is remembering this so that we can stay present in the experience of the in and out of our breath, life force, humanity without placing a “judge” on the inevitable contracted parts of life. It makes sense to feel uncomfortable in the unknown, or in contraction, in the “winter time” or transition times of your inner or outer world. You. Make. Sense.

Discomfort or contraction doesn’t mean that you’ve “regressed”. You aren’t stuck, this isn’t forever. Morning comes, and yes – the unknown is uncomfortable, it was created to be. It’s okay to be uncomfortable. We can feel it all. There is nothing wrong with you, and everything right with you – you are human, you are alive, you are living.
